This day is flexible. Depending on ceremony schedules and your interests, it is also possible to attend a traditional funeral or wedding ceremony.

The trek continues through bamboo forests and cacao and coffee plantations, a gentle reminder of where our daily chocolate and coffee come from. Along the way, you may also see banana, papaya, and pineapple trees.
Early in the day, there’s a chance to see Torajan buffaloes grazing or bathing in rivers—locals jokingly say these buffaloes are bathed more often than the farmers themselves!
By late afternoon, we arrive at the remote mountain village of Salu, known for its peaceful atmosphere, traditional Tongkonan and Bugis houses, and stunning rice terrace views. Check in, meet the villagers, and enjoy a traditional dinner prepared by your host.
